I'm not sure I want to do post here anymore
When I signed up for Livejournal in 2008 I had just reintroduced myself to Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego 6 months prior and somehow I managed to make some awesome friends in the fandom, two of which convinced me to sign up here because I fell in love with their fan fics and somehow being a part of a fandom caused me to bring an alter ego I made up when I was 11 years old to life via fan fics. Episodes of the game show gradually found their way onto youtube (despite a pesky false copyright claim that was harrassing uploaders with an iron fist for two years) some of which I really wanted to see and some I didn't know I wanted to see
Flash forward 15 years later only 11 episodes of the show are missing but the two friends I made here don't post as frequently as they used to (though I'm aware as to why one of them hasn't and I'm sorry her family is going through this), one of them quit this site altogether, hell they kind of gradually quit posting in the Carmen fandom in 2009 (mostly because they found other fandoms to write for), though a brief revival happened 6 years later, and it re-energized me as well, it was very short lived, sometimes I feel like I was responsible for it puttering out again, though I don't really regret requesting those ideas. Also livejournal is picky about passwords, everything is picky about passwords now
I did start a thing called the Upload alert to let them know an episode that wasn't on youtube before had been uploaded but we haven't had a never before seen on youtube episode in three years and I'm still hoping that the remaining episodes will show up, but at this rate we could see Trump get convicted for one of his indictments before we get them
I've been too busy to write my own fics, and the magnet incident last year sure didn't help, basically erasing the progress I made because even though I have other fandoms, Carmen is the only one I'll write for, believe me I want more than anything to be able to finish Shienna's story but the only way I will is if somehow if I can get microsoft word on a computer again, stupid Microsoft 365
Basically I don't want to feel guilty for not posting once a month these days
