Waitressing is crazy shit!
especially when you never have before!
especially when it's at a coutnry club, where they just happen to be having a huge tournament the first week you start.
especially when your manager does not tell you what is going on, at all.
but it's been awesome.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful and as far as I can tell I can see who I'll be work friends with.
The lifegaurds are cool and for some reason I like hanging out in the kitchen even though it's mother freakin' hot. The cooks like to flirt with the wait staff and the bartender likes to be sarcastic but in that bland you can't tell way- but if you knew him you can tell when he's being funny about it. I don't know how much I am getting payed and all I know is that next week I am on 11 to 5 everyday except friday.
That is the only stable idea I have.
Also, we use nextel's and I am 'unit 3' and I hated the :bplllbrb: of nextel's before but now it makes me shudder.
The drawback is I don't see any gratification right away since it's a country club and everything works on a tab- so I don't get tips.. but this kid Tim who actually is friends with JP and Ryan Ottone since he just graduated at EP started at $9, and Zandy mentioned she thought waitstaff got more than the lifegaurds.
I'll find out soon. I don't want to go out and ask- but I don't get payed this week since I don't have a time card. So, I get double payed next week which will be hot.
I need new sneakers for all this working.
I was on my feet for 12 hours total today, not including the shower I just took. haha
I think i am going to get samba's (everyone but me wears a white polo shirt with their name on it and black pants.. but i get a white polo shirt and capri's of khaki of black color? how odd! and everyoen has dark shoes.. but me! so, i think i need to ask questions here.)
my feet are tired and my knees hurt (sexual favors. you know. JK!) but I feel like I did a lot.
Oh wait, I didn't talk to anyone! eeeeh.
Prom! is on saturday and I am excited
Saturday I have off and it will be glorious.
Kate is going in tomorrow to see if she can be my cabana girl partner! There should be two pool wait staff people and Neli asked if I had anyone so I told Kate and she is going in tomorrow afternoon to talk to her!!
So, I've been busy!
I get to work double time tomorrow as well!
I want to keep talking but I should go to bed!
