Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen

Break time! XD

I can't believe the quarter is almost over...thinking about it, makes me a little queasy because I'm still working on my senior animation. After talking to people in other Project II classes, it seems everyone is made to finish their short by the end of the quarter (rendered and on a dvd)...or else *dum dum dum*. So I've been scrambling and stressing over the past 10 weeks, little by little whittling my short hoping it is somewhat reminiscent to what I originally planned. I'm trying my best, but I know for sure that this baby is still going to be polished over spring quarter as well. The positive side to all this, is that the class is kicking my butt, making me work harder to meet deadlines. At least when I'm in the spring quarter I have a nice majority of my work finished.

I know Valentine's Day is past, but I wanted to share these spiffy cards that Karl decorated my room with. I almost died reading them; Batman looks so earnest in spreading the love. Even better they're shiny. <3 I can't believe this Friday will mark two years. I remember back in high school I thought I would never date. I felt I had everything: good friends, a passion, and a loving family. I wasn't aware of anything beyond that. Being with Karl reminds me that my art is only one aspect of me. While it is a large portion and something constant and personal for me, I shouldn't let it define me. There's always more to life. I can be a pretty rigid person, and I miss too many things by having that tunnel-vision. Karl is there to shake me from that, and for that (and many other things), I am very thankful.

I cannot wait until spring break. Karl, Dana (from SCAD), and I are heading to San Francisco and San Jose for the Game Developer's Conference and visiting my uncle and his family. Even cooler, Karl and I got selected as volunteers, meaning all those lectures, tutorials, and keynotes are at our fingertips (when we're not working). I'm planning on recording almost every lecture I go to! (Thanks to the Ipod mic that Ate Day Day gave me for my birthday). And I definitely can't wait to see San Francisco and my uncle. My aunt and uncle's son (who's five, I think) is soooo adorable.

Now I just need to keep going and see things through. =_=
