so, friday I went to Music Is Cool, which is a clinic set up by the Cadets (the Cadets are a Drum & Bugle Corps). The clinic was for any highschool students in marching band to come work with the cadets and their staff, to hopefully, become better at marching as well as playing. and sadly, it was a waste of my life and the whole day sucked. well, not the whole day, just the first part.
First half of my day:
I woke up at 7 which for me, never happens, voluntarily anyways, to pick up kelsey and drive to westminster high school. we got there and, after waiting around for about 45 minutes, the clinic finally started. We first had to split up into our sections, woodwinds, brass, color guard, and percussion, to have sectionals. We spent about 2 and a half hours going over stuff that our marching band (Century) had already learned. And I'm sorry, but the woodwinds were not so great...but thank god for ej.i probably would have died if he wasn't there.
After eating lunch we were forced to march with the cadets staff. and not anything fun. ohh no. we learned how to take one step. which century had reviewed a few months ago. and then they taught us the figure 8 the completely stupid way. so all our rookies are going to be so confused at our next rehearsal.
the only good thing about music is cool was getting to meet some of the cadets. because they're pretty much amazing. but there was no way i was gonna play beside one of them and completely embarrass myself. so i stood between ej and some other girl from another school.
kelsey played the rhyming game with me, which was pretty fun though...
Second half:
After Ashley told rob(our director) how completely pointless the clinic was, we left and went out of eat. it was 6 of us all together and it was pretty fun. kelsey came and i actually made up my mind about what to eat! so go me.
When we finished eating, we went back to the highschool to watch the drum corps show. It was amazing. they were all so good. we even got to see some of the members of our marching band who had joined the crossman, cadets, and jersey surf.
After the show we finally got home around 11. i was soo tired, yet i stayed up until midnight. yeah, i don't get it either.

Yesterday I went to gettysburg and went shopping! but was still really tired from music is cool so i was kinda out of it. but that's ok because i got three really pretty shirts! haha.

And now, I'm just being bored. but i'm hungry so i'm gonna get something to eat. bye guys!
