Sushi time!
Tonight I made sushi and Yaki Udon for dinner. It turned out pretty good for a first time. I made Prawn and cucumber maki, Prawn nigiri, Crab, cucumber and cream cheese, California maki and one California temaki just for my brother. I wanted to make some Salmon sushi but they didn't look really fresh at the Supermarket so I gave it a miss, just in case because blowing up the loo just isn't fun.
Sorry for the messy background but I didn't have time to clear it up because of the hungry people waiting to eat and they go a bit lu lu la la when they're too hungry.
Last night I spent a good two hours watching Videos on You Tube on how to make Japanese style Mochi which made by glutinous rice soaked overnight, steamed cooked and then pounded with wooden mallets in a traditional mortar. Watch this.....
HOLY MOLY!!! Lucky for me I found out I can make it by using my bread maker! Now all I need to do is go to the Japan Centre and buy some Mochi Kome (sweet mochi rice) then I can make some Strawberry and Banana Daifuku! Can't wait!!
P.S - Sams I just watched the Anjelah Johnson - Vietnamese Nail Salon clip on You Tube with Trong and we LAUGHED our heads off!
