I know it's almost been a month since I have been back but since I have been back it's been busy, busy, busy. I have some time before I have to drive my mum to the Chinese supermarket to stock up on stuff for Chinese New Year next week. So here goes....
The start of the holiday started pretty damn bad! First of all we hadn't change our £'s in to YENS yet because we was hoping and praying that the rate would go up and thought we would be fine as we had found a place with a good exchange rate that said they was opened for 24 hours.... turns out that was bull shit because they wasn't allow to change up large amounts of money at night! So we had to leg it to Knightsbridge to change up the money before legging it to check in at the airport by 9.00am. But there's always one person that make everyone else late (Boyfriend!), I was going mad! I don't like people slowing me down and worse of all I don't like people waiting for me and I had Jade doing just that for 1 hour at the airport just because of my boyfriend was being a women!
We made it to the airport with only half hour till the gate closes and thank god Jade was there to chill me out. From there on out everything was running fine, even our connection from Finland was good and fast. I was even more happy when I saw that the plane was brand new and had loads of leg room.
13 hours later we was in the land of the raising sun. I was getting excited and couldn't wait to get my luggage and get to the hotel, that was until I saw my surname going round on a piece of cardboard on the luggage belt. Turns out that my luggage was still in FINLAND and (wait for it)..... WON'T BE GETTING TO TOKYO TILL 3 DAYS LATER!! ARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I didn't know if I should cry or go mad (again), it was the latter. I'm a women! I NEED MY CLOTHES! This was worse then our last day in Bangkok when the Royal Thai Army staged a coup d'état against the government.
I was grumpy all the way in to Tokyo that was until I stepped out of Shinjuku station and saw this....
Our x-mas gift from the hotel. The stuff in the bag Finn Air gave me instead of my luaggage.
Giant Takoyaki balls in Akihabara, YUM!
Breakfast on a budget but then we spent an arm and an leg going to a Maid Cafe.
Tonkatsu with cheese. You get your own little pestle and mortar so you can grin roasted sesame seeds to add to the Tonkatsu sauce.
I love Shibuya but I love the MOS burger more.
Forget about Sushi, there's so much more other food to eat in Tokyo.
Everything we won from playing UFO catcher games and everything I bought on my first trip to 100 'Daiso' Yen shop (I went another two times).
The Japanese loves their lucky cats and is of course famous for this little kitty too.
I had a great time in Toyko after all the drama, still the best city in the world in my book.
