One the things I like most about going to All Saints is the constant barrage of pro-life propaganda that somehow shows up just in time to ruin an otherwise good day. "Abortion is murder," "A fetus is still a human being no matter what stage it's development may be." Well if that's the case, I better start socializing with more fetus', I don't want

The people who are carrying the "fucking" babies, should have been more responsible or at the very least have been prepared for the possibility. THeir life may not be fun, but you shouldn't be able to kill because you wanted to be careless or take the risk of an accident happening. People need to realize that if you do have sex, you run the risk of getting pregnant. I don't want to sound like a prude, but I find it totally unnecessary to justify killing something that has all the traits of a human being (and thus is human), having a heartbeat, brainwaves, etc., because someone was a floosy.
And I understand that not everyone is careless. Accidents happen. But you can't tell me that the majority of pregnancies are due to simple accidents. Condoms and birth control have too high of success rates. The large majority is carelessness. And, like I said, you can always give the kid up for adoption. THere's no justification for killing it because you couldn't be bothered to put on a rubber. And, once again, I have to say that it's different with rapes and such. But that should be up to the states to decide what rules they want to place on it, and for doctors to say if the mother's health is in danger.
It just comes down to it being unnecessary to kill someone when you can give it up for adoption.

Also, take into account the adoptions that come from other countries. Americans don't usually adopt American babies. So why then would you put so many babies up for adoption when you know that they will probably never be adopted. And say even half of them get adopted. That's still over 500,000 babies in orphanages in this country.
I understand that you feel the need to preserve human life, but at what cost? Saving babies just so they can live the rest of their lives alone in orphanages and then kicked out onto the streets is no better than aborting them.
And just because it has a heartbeat and brainwaves DOES NOT make it a human being. The same can be said for any other living organism on the face of this planet. Mammals, reptiles, birds all have a heartbeat and brainwaves. A fetus is no more developed than a houseplant. It has no consciousness or highly developed functions. If a fetus suddenly cries out for help before it's aborted, then by all means I'll immediately become "pro-life."
This countries history is littered with unnecessary bloodshed. The Civil War, WWI and II, basically any conflict in American history. There is always an alternative rather than war, you should know this more than anyone. But sometimes the alternative is no better than war. Abortion is no exception, there is an alternative, but how much are we willing to sacrifice to save a bunch of unwanted babies?
