Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

Walking aimlessly through the aisles, I couldn't help but smirk a little bit as Cor oohed and aaahed over every single fucking piece of clothing she saw. Good thing for her she's so cute when she's shopping or else I might seriously have to bail here and soon. Hey, it's not like I can't dig it. Sugar daddy hooked my girl up with mad bank and now we ( Read more... )

"Have you seen this stuff?" I asked Faith, excitedly. I was in Heaven! Scratch that, I was beyond Heaven. I'd never been able to afford this stuff in years, not since my days of Daddy's Girl back in Sunnydale where every problem had been solved by a new credit card.

Okay, so some people had way worse parents than me. Mine weren't bad if you didn't count that every bit of affection had to be replaced by a little piece of plastic.

I held up a deep purple shirt I'd found myself and a pair of hip-hugging black pants. "You like?" Okay, so I knew she hated this. She looked about as in place here as Angel did at a party. But she'd said we could go shopping.

"Y'know, there's like a thousand other places we can hit." I say, smiling. Part of me just wanted to keep Faith happy. Weird thought, but hey, I've had lots of those these past few days. "I can get these and we can... Find a Hot Topic somewhere?"

"It's nice...I guess." I said with a shrug, and caught the look she shot me. What the hell, was I supposed to pretend to like these clothes? Now if I had my way, Cor would be wearing some leather pants and a halter top. Bet she'd look wicked hot in some leather pants.

I deadpanned. "You mean, we're not done after we leave here?" I asked her. When I saw the look on her face I couldn't stop myself from cracking a smile though.

"Yo, you gotta chill. I'm just playin'."

I look at Faith, biting the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. Yes, these are clothes I'd wear - do I expect her to like them? Hell no. She'd probably be comfortable seeing me partially naked or something and-- What?! She joked about it last night, not me!

When she asks if we're done when we leave here, my face falls. One shop? One shop?! Is she on drugs? "But--"

She tells me I gotta chill and I grin. "We are so very not done after here, Missy," I tell her, winking, "There's thousands of places we can hit. All involve many clothes and-- Oooh! Acessorizing!" She fights back a groan and I continue, babbling excitedly as we head to the counter. I've had enough of this store.

The sales-lady, shooting Faith an 'off' look, bags my stuff up and I pay for her, shooting her a sneer for added effect and then we're back outside again, me practically in heaven at the idea of all the places we can go.

"So. Where to now?"

Couldn't help but groan as Cor started goin' on about accessorizing. But hey, it was all part of my evil plan right? Butter her up with shopping and then we could hit on the wicked sensitive topic that is Brood Boy. Only so long I could sit around and twiddle my thumbs until I figure I gotta do something about what's going on, ya know?

I smirked at the saleslady as we left the store. She was still givin' me that look like she just knew that the alarm was gonna go off as soon as I walked out the store. Like I'd wanna steal any of that crappy clothes here anyways.

"I dunno. It's a mall, we can go anywhere. Just pick one." My eyes scanned the stores and I didn't even see any place I'd shop at. There had to be somewhere a girl could score a decent pair of leather pants and maybe some slutty looking tops.
