Lynette is still so very, very mentally a disaster, but by this point she's managed to find some way to live with it. Nothing is right, but she can still function, she has to function, so she's created a small, intricate system of order and mostly she stays inside that.
It won't take much to push her out of it. It's tenuous at best.
At least, though, it's some kind of structure, and she can pretend things fit together, and that's what she's doing now, folded up neatly in the garden under the sun with the path in front of her covered in parts and pieces. It works. It works for now.
