Lynette is done with figuring out the iPod; as a matter of fact, she has it all fixed up and playing music that somebody else downloaded to it who-knows-when. She doesn't exactly approve of the music, as it's mostly punk rock with the occasional anomalous classical piece mixed in, but the point is that she was set a task and she completed it, and

"Well. Here you are. With sandwiches." He smiles a little.

She smiles back. "Yes, ser. Here--" digging in an overall pocket for the iPod.

"Did you figure out what it does?"

[i_flynomore]

"It makes music feedback."

[abitofboth]

He raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"

[i_flynomore]

"Here." She hands him the earbuds carefully. "These go in your ears."

[abitofboth]

He takes them and gives it a try.

Lynette switches it on, demonstrating the method with which she does so, and immediately classical music issues forth.

is it obvious that the typist has never seen an iPod in her life, or what? XD

He is intrigued. "It doesn't feel like magic." He takes the device. "Is it from your time?"

The typist is just fine! *pets*

"No, ser. Our tech is more advanced. It's just battery and chips."

[abitofboth]

"But it's the same type of thing? Non-magical?" He starts idly experimenting with the ticky wheel in the center.

[i_flynomore]

"Yes, ser."

[abitofboth]

"Huh. Wonders." He idly tries something called "London Calling," and is suddenly assaulted with very different music.

"There's some of that on it, too, ser," Lynette remarks.

[abitofboth]

"Is it just for entertainment, do you think?"

[i_flynomore]

"I think so. There's not really anything useful in it I can figure out."
