anybody? ...bueller?

I don't know who, if anybody, reads this anymore, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put out the Bat Signal.

So, Jess and I had plans to take a road trip to Los Angeles tomorrow. Sara Ramirez is giving a dramatic reading of a book and we jumped at the opportunity to be there. We have tickets already and everything. Well, so far, we haven't been able to find a way to LA, and we are both super bummed. We can't use a rental car agency because we don't have credit cards, we can't use Zipcar or anything similar because it's too expensive (plus at this point it's too late), and trains/planes/buses are crazy expensive and run at really weird times.

So. Is there anyone who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area who would like to go to the event with us?? If you have a car (or a credit card to rent a car), we will split costs with you. Tickets for the event are still available, and I'd even help you pay for that! Aside from cash, I can offer baked goods, handmade jewelry, poetry written in your honor, fics by request, and my undying gratitude. Jess and I are both super fun car-mates, and I also have a lovely singing voice and will happily regale you with melodies. :) Once in LA, we have a place to stay, where you are welcome to stay with us, and we'd be returning to the Bay on Thursday.

Anybody? Anybody at all? Even if any of you just knows someone else who'd want to go, that would be amazing. Whoever it is doesn't have to come to the reading if they don't want to - there's plenty of stuff to do in LA! - but if you/he/she/ze does want to come to the reading with us as well, we can certainly work that out. :)

california, damn it california why are you so big, being a fangirl certainly has its disadv, sara ramirez, travel
