Yadda Yada Yadda
I got the job! Ha! That was the oddest and also only interview process I've ever been to, but I also think it was odd by any normal standard. I was there from 11am til around 3pm for a job that pays £5.03 an hour and only offers 10 hour shifts. I would complain, but fuck it, I have a sodding job!
I do feel lucky because the whole process, although strange, was perfectly suited to me. Firstly I had to stand up in front of a hundred odd people and talk about myself, favourite/worst films, yadda yadda yadda. I actually made people laugh several times with comments even I didn't think were that funny, and I actually got applauded when I finished! Next was an observed group discussion which I did well in because NOBODY was talking so I all got them chatting and our group's work was SO much better than the others =P
They were total bastards when getting rid of the people who didn't make it through each stage though. They'd call people to be sent off in groups and then tell us that the ones NOT called out had made it! Was so nerve wrecking because each time they called out numbers took so LONG and then I was really disappointed when they didn't call my name out. But that's gotta be really shattering for people who thought they'd made it and were then told to fuck off.
But who cares, I have a job! And because of the massive shifts I'll only be working 3 days a week average and to be honest, I'd rather have a few long days than many short ones so I can actually have full days to spend all my monies =D
