Friends and enemies
One must know one's enemy if one is to defeat them. One must know how they think, how they react if one is to overcome them in battle. Friendships are not built on knowledge such as this, but on an innate trust and love.
And of course I have enemies; a man cannot go through life without acquiring them, especially if he is fighting for a cause that others oppose.
As for numbers, it matters not whether I have more friends or enemies, for even if I have only a few of the former, with their support I will defeat the latter.
