Never knew I could feel like this
I haven't updated in a while. My Christmas was good. I got a lot of stuff. Not to be ungrateful or whatever but have you ever experienced this: When you ask for presents you get money, but when you ask for money and CLEARLY state you NEED money, you get presents...? Yeah that's pretty much how my Christmas went. My gifts were great, but I asked for and NEEDED money! I was expecting around $250 for Christmas because that's about what I get when I ask for presents. grr.... And they say they didnt' know what to get me...I MAKE A FREAKIN LIST. And this year, I only made a list for my parents and told them to tell EVERYONE else to get me money or gift certificates and suddenly everyone thinks of gifts to get me.
And get this: my dad gets my uncle to ask my papaw to ask my mom if she minded me having a cell phone and my mom told my papaw she didn't care but I NEEDED money. So after she got off the phone with my papaw she tells me about her convo with papaw. So, I call my papaw back and tell him to tell my uncle that Mom doens't have an objection to a cell phone BUT I DO! I DON'T WANT ONE! I NEED MONEY! (and in case your wondering my uncle and my mom don't talk so thats why my uncle didn't ask my mom himself and I don't know why my dad didn't call himself) but anyways I don't think i'm getting anything from my dad because I didn't want a cell phone. My dad gets pissed about things like that. Wouldn't you rather not waste the money on a cell phone and contracts and instead give a kid some money!
Maybe I'm just selfish....it just annoys me...oh well...at least I get presents from my family, even if most of them are from my 'step' side of the family. People in Ethiopia (sp?) don't get Christmas.....from anyone....
How about this: with the money those stupid effing 'Christian' channels spend to travel and make shows in under-developed countries, why dont' they just use all that money to feed the children and stuff, instead just send teh countries money. Dont' give the kids DOLLS give them FOOD!!!! And those stupid "It's only 10 cents a day" commercials and especially that one that says "Maybe you forgot the number" and the train goes by...yeah with the money to make that commercial they could've fed that whole village for a week maybe a month. And with the money for that stupid camera they filmed it with they could've bought her 10-20 pairs of Nike shoes.....think about it...
