(no subject)
Most years I post here about how excited I am about my Halloween costume and people demand pictures. but then at the party somehow pictures don't really get taken, and I turn into a big tease. This year I tried something different. I said not a word about Halloween costumes (or anything else for that matter but that is a whole different issue) and pictures a plenty were taken! So I present to you, the four people who are still reading Livejournal, my Poison Ivy Costume!
I've wanted to do this costume for years but always held back because I didn't think I was thin enough to pull it off. This year I realized that no one else cared and frankly soon being to old to pull it off was going to be the bigger issue. =) I'm pretty happy with how it all came out. I've never sewed a corset before, and getting all the boning in right was kinda tricky. I had green contacts too, but they were just a little too alien looking and uncomfortable. I figured that the corset being so restrictive was all the discomfort I was willing to put up with, so I skipped them. My hair was pulled up on the right side with a comb with trailing ivy on it, but for some reason there are no good pictures of that. I only mention this because otherwise my costume looks a little short on foliage.
And one last shot of my friend dressed as Comander Spock scanning my cleavage for tart levels. I imagine they were high as I am the queen of tarts.
All in all I had a really good Halloween. Hope you all did too!
