The earth moved for me and inncubus
I am SO pleased I was late to bed last night and felt the quake. Everyone says "I was there when...blackouts/floods/etc" - I have never been witness to such things before and have felt that I have missed amazing things. I am doubly glad that in our green and pleasant land these things are never severe - according to the BBC news site only 1 person was injured in the whole of the UK and there was minor property damage.
It was funny, but I'd just got into bed and it started vibrating. inncubus said "Did you feel that, I think it was an earthquake" so I thought he was making the floorboards move (it's a crappy house) and trying to tease me....but it was actually happening!
I love life, there is no cease to discovery.
