I'm not sure where I am...
It has been so busy for me the last few weeks I can't even explain.
Liz is home on maternity leave and partial bedrest so on the up side the freezer is chock full of dinners, baked goods and other goodies. The down side is that she's got a bad case of cabin fever and that is wearing off on Lily. Lily has been getting into a lot of trouble at my parents' house along with starting a fight with one of the other kids in her play group.
I really can't say this enough - I'll be very glad when the baby is here and at home because then we can just get on with our lives and hopefully leave the bulk of the drama behind us. That would be every so nice.
One very exciting thing that happened since I last updated was that I got to perform an operation on a baby with spina bifida to close the hole is his back. I had one of the other surgeons take a picture in the operating room to remind me how amazing medical technology can be. Please be warned before you click to see the picture that it is something that might be disturbing to some people so don't click if you are made queasy by the sight of blood.
His mother is due to deliver soon and am incredibly anxious to see how well the procedure worked.
In some very good news we recently found out that we are having a boy and have decided on a name. We'll keep that secret under our hat but I will tell you that he will be another Tigs just like me.
And with that.. keep me up to date guys, okay? I'm starting my paternity leave soon and fear I won't see the light of day until the baby is here.
