[Warden filter]

It's strange, I didn't really have any memory of the Barge when I was back home, it was kind of a blur, but now that I'm back, I remember everything. I hope. It's different from last time I went back, anyway, and certainly not as unsettling. I had around a month there; the team worked on two cases. It was good, as far as solving murders can be good. How long was I gone from here?

How is everyone? Has anything happened that I should know about? I'm hoping that everybody's okay and there haven't been any major incidents, but knowing this ship, that might be a bit much to ask. I wasn't lucky enough to miss a flood, was I?

[There's a short pause, in which the recorder clicks off, then on again almost immediately.]

Oh, also, this might be a little left field... But I've been thinking about justice lately, and I've got a question for you. I'm wondering about personal opinions here, call it professional curiosity. So, we try to redeem inmates and give them a second chance, but do you think that what we do here, as wardens, brings any kind of justice for our inmates' victims? The inmates who have victims, of course. Just something to think about.

[Recording clicks off for real.]

talking, wardenly
