I must admit to enjoying yesterday. And while I felt very compelled to share about my home, as part of any city-wide curse, I felt that just maybe anything I said would pale in comparison to the stories that everyone was sharing. However; I felt it would be rude to comment on what I read, it appeared that some people were not too keen on sharing ( Read more... )

They can be very different, can't they?

Ahaha. I swear my entire family is, like, allergic to math. sitaronthewater January 24 2009, 23:10:08 UTC
Yeah, I haven't really found two that're similar.

No math majors then... i_canread January 25 2009, 20:36:06 UTC
And you'd think that with so many...

Yeah, no. I'm the best at it, and I shudder at the WORD 'calc'. sitaronthewater January 27 2009, 07:14:59 UTC
Well, I didn't really see all of them, some of the others traveled to way more than I did.

But... that's the most fun part of math... i_canread January 27 2009, 12:28:33 UTC
Was it difficult to get from place to place?

I don't know if I should be jealous... i_canread January 30 2009, 14:18:17 UTC
I've never heard the term before. What sort of technology is required for this?

^^' Probably, yeah. Then again, my major's really weird, so. Also, surprise portal to Marue, y/n? sitaronthewater February 3 2009, 09:26:01 UTC
Technology? For portalling?

Reply

As long as you like it... Oh, but of course. Marue will be properly surprised, no doubt. i_canread February 3 2009, 14:28:12 UTC

Well, he's showing you how else, Marue, because here it is, a swirling black and purple darkness, and Demyx is stepping out of it. All this is happening about not fifteen feet from you. "There's no technology involved in it." He's saying this calmly, as though, no, this isn't something completely out of the ordinary.

He waves the portal shut, almost to emphasize this.

She's quite plainly startled, for a moment she just stares, not quite sure what to think of any of this and blinks once, slowly. Is everything in the outside world like this? But she regains some sense in a couple of minutes.

"So, if there's no technology involved, it's magic?"

He's just staring right back at you. Yes, he knows that not everyone can portal, but he finds it weird that they find it weird, because he's just so used to it. "Yeah! It's magic."

Getting use to this sort of thing might be kind of hard... But she can't be the only one thrown for a loop with-- She's seen zombies, talked to someone who has flown in space, she should kind of expect the city to be beyond strange.

"Which took longer..." and she's honestly curious about this, "learning how to portal or to play the sitar?"
