i'm done beating myself up over ruthie. i've come to accept that i need to watch what i say much more, and i have also realized that what she did to me is no better than what i did to her. both of us got carried away and we said things to other people that were meant to be between us.
unfortunately, i've also realized that adults can be immature and melodramatic, too. "cancer." what a harsh thing to call someone. it's never enough to humiliate someone anymore. people seem to find it neccessary to make them a pariah, as well.
this silly world gives me very mixed messages. i am told that adults should not be overemotional, yet as i observe them i notice that they are often as puerile, petty and angsty as we teenagers are.
