This story is about Gretel, a dying guide dog.. he's 17 years old, can't see, too weak to even walk, yet he still tries to protect his owner and all he wants is for his owner to be happy. Reminds me of Tully, this GR that I spoke to. She had a cancer relapse and is in pain. Yet she held on and refused to cross the bridge because she knows she has to stay alive to help heal her owner. The love she has for the owner is so so so strong.
