Suntan?
My funny boy made me laugh again.
I peeped into Bernbern's cage and saw at the corner lying on his BACK ala, like how you lie on a beach chair to suntan.
OMG.
Chinchillas DO NOT lie on their backs, simply because their body structure don't allow them too, unless, they sleep in a hammock or sleeping bag, then it is possible because the hammock/sleeping back can support their back.
Imagine my shock when I saw that. My first thought was of panic and fear, OMG, DID MY BABY DIE? But that was dismissed in less than a second cos' I saw his tummy heaving up & down. It was such a relief and after that, I was totally amused by his posture.
He jumped up the instance I peeped in and had this bewildered look on his face. It was soooooo amusing and cute. I wanted to scope him up and give him a hug but I know he won't like it so I left him alone.
Its a pity I couldn't take a photo of him lying in that position. It would be a wonderful memory to keep. I haven't seen him done that before and since then, he has not done it again.
