My Liberal Arts Education has failed me.
What I am lacking is a working knowledge of how benefits and insurance work.
I had a meeting today with a lady in HR at the place I will be working a week from Monday (!!!) and it was all gibberish to me.
So I'm going to have to slowly figure it all out. Soon.
Why wasn't there a class on this in High School? I went to a Prep school. It didn't Prepare me for the real world. Just academia.
Damn.
But....
I have a real job. One where they take money out to put into a retirement plan and give me benefits and vacation days and sick time. And yet, I have a Winter and a Spring break.
Best of both worlds.
But its really real now. Except for the living with my parents part. Well, that's only too real too.
But I've been in a very good mood all day. Because I am employed and cast.
Go me.
