Hey friends! just thought i would update since it is like the first time in a week i have a free moment. no classes today! i've been practicing my speech on the sistine chapel dilligently all morning. My public speaking skills never cease to amaze me...lol.
So yeah i've just been illin like usual, lily came to visit this past weekend. It was fun seeing her as always. We went to some wild breeder parties and explored the wonderful balboa park. Took some armando loads and befriended many random persons with lily's huge bottle of svedka. I love seeing that bitch... although she unfortunately had to experience anthony's period with me... or something like that.

In other news i have been writing a post card to my great aunts every two weeks this year, and my great aunt helen who is 96 wrote me a long letter back last week. I loved it so much i thought i would share.

Balboa Park!!

and now for that letter:

Dear Greg,
You write a very legible letter full of info about your doings. You will make a great journalist for the New York Times. Life is surely interesting in San Diego.
Your Mother was here yesterday with all the latest news about her three exceptional children, all are geniuses you see.
Well we taxpayers are going to get in at last on the action. We will get a modest rebate, no billions like the high muckity mucks. We are told to spend on - only misers save money. We are supposed to do it for Uncle Sam. It has gotten so that a citizen cannot be a scotch republican anymore; spend or die like a dog.
We are sure that you will find the new way very difficult. Your irish blood will sing bout "Three cheers!"
Our weather is lousy right now- snow and cold and winds and more snow. You chose the right territory for a winters nap. We know that you are kept busy with your studies and a light evening every now and then.
Well, keep up the good Bartow name and have some fun as well!
We wish you a happy valentines day and send you a great hug!
Your mom brought bags of chocolate truffles. I said to myself "I'll try one- just one" so far i've eaten six already. Oh my there goes the tax for obesity! i forgot that. Get thee behind me Satan! We have placed the gift you gave us on the refrigerator and the hall of Montezuma will bring forth your image daily. Semper Fi as the mariners say.
Ryan went skiing on his birthday Feb 7 and now he will be middle aged soon. I'd rather surf board myself, but i dont think they allow aged women on surf boards. Who knows, we (Kat and I) might start a new trend. Surf boards anyone? that would make a great movie. Lets think about it- the new future!
What else is going on in the wide wide world now that the money has dissappeared, what will we use for barter? some have already bartered their souls!
We think going to school is the answer, that is where they will get the money. It always comes back to that. Take care and have a good time while earning and learning-
Love,
Aunts Helen and Kat

isn't that so cute and coherent for a 96 year old to write! i loved it! just wrote back a little while ago.
