My horse didn't win the Kentucky Derby. He didn't even place. Good thing I only bet $15.00.
I have had an extremely busy and tiring weekend. Friday night I went to a Relay For Life Event. There was a wrestling event, which wasn't all the great, but you have to give them credit for donating their time to the event. Thump looked very suave in his suit. It was a difficult thing for me to attend because I have lost a lot of loved ones to cancer. I did purchase a couple of luminaries and it was very touching when they turned off the stadium lights. I ended up going out dancing after wards and didn't get home until 2:30 in the morning Saturday.
Saturday morning I scrambled to finish working on my hat for the Derby Day Soiree which I volunteered at. There were some really wild hats there. A big thanks to my friend, Robbie, who joined me at the event. I'll be posting a picture of the two of us with one of the horses at a later time. I ended up going home after the event and crashing for 13 hours. I'm not supposed to be out in the sun and heat so I usually end up paying for it, but for this type of event it was well worth it. I got to see some of the horses that I used to take care of and one of them even gave me a kiss.
About the only thing I did today was see the new Robin Williams movie RV. My hubby and I enjoyed it. After dropping hubby off, I went to my knitting group in South Orlando.
Back to the old bump and grind tomorrow.
