Well, I meant to post Monday, but just never got around to it until now.
I'm officially a college football player. Spring Training started Monday. It's been hard, but yet it's weird and yet cool to be out there practicing at Legion Field like it's an everyday thing. I remember in 2002 when we played the State Championship game out there, and it was like the greatest thing just to step on that field, and now it's my practice field...
It's also very awkward to be out there with cameras in my face all practice long. I mean occasionally we'd be the "team of the week" or something at Homewood, but nothing everyday like this. It makes me nervous just to do the small drills because I'm afraid I'll slip up or fall or something, and look like an idiot, but yet, it's still very cool.
It's already beating me pretty good. I mean it's no pads, and only for 2 hours late in the afternoon/early night, but I'm pooped. At least today is the last one for the week, and I can relax all weekend. There was a clip of me on NBC, ABC, and FOX from Monday, but I can't find any of them anymore, I guess they are archived, and I'm just not looking in the right place.
Overall, it's hard, but good to be back at football after 2 and a half years.
