It's a tad late, thoguh...
Sorry, I've been so busy all day it's not even funny. So much for APEX + Social Life. Anyway. Today we were celebrating my dad's birthday, too. We went to Medieval Times, which was, as always, incredibly spiffed. And I now posess a very cool black goblet. Baker is a very interesting person to analyze. She makes herself out to be the wicked witch of the west, and yet is more like Glinda. Except not. The fact that she tries to intimidate us gets really old after a while, and this might also be one of her goals. Baker has very strange eyebrows. They sort of creep me out more than her teaching or even just her in general. She seems nice enough, but never acts the way she seems. She leads us to make our own conclusions instead of giving us answers off a silver platter, which I like. She always maintains a certain element of surprise, despite the rigidly-followed calendars she keeps. She is actually one of my favorite teachers, alons with Mrs. Richards (who can object to story time for half the class period?) and Mr. Choi (he seems to like me.) Richards gets herself off track a lot. It's fun, but also gets old after a while. She's nice, but I have a feeling she thinks I'm strange. Most people do, but still. Mr. Choi is very cool and very smart. I don't like it when people make fun of his accent. Sam Losow being hte main perpetrator. I stayed back a little late after class because I was slow in putting my stuff away, and promptly thanked him for hte lesson on my way out, as years of living in a Russian household and going to a Russian school every Sunday have taught me to do. He replies with a polite "you're welcome", but also informs me that I ask very intriguing questions and should keep it up. So I think he likes me. The only pooopy thing is that we don't get into three-dimensional constructions this year, which I was really looking forward to. We've only so far done basic constructions, but they eat your mom. Because constructions wil do that. So there. I win.
