Not again!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night, Karina came into her room where I was watching tv and said it smelled like smoke. We went outside and it was raining large chunks of ash so we turned on the news only to discover there was a fire burning in Sylmar. When I woke up this morning I had text msgs from friends asking if I was ok and I was puzzled until I turned on the news to discover the fire had spread to Granada Hills, Newhall, Pacoima and now fires are burning in Anaheim and Yorba Linda.
They evacuated 1 mile away from our house but started letting residents back in late this afternoon. We decided to go to Joann's in Porter Ranch but heading home the 118 was thick with smoke. The house reeks of, the yard is covered in ash and I feel yucky like I am smoking 3 packs a day (10 months nicotine free!)
I love how at the old house up in the hills, we never had a fire threat but the minute we move into this house in Granada Hills....BAM! Two major fires in our area in the past 2 months. WTF?
