I should've realised myself but didn't, which is already telling enough.
I completely failed to recognise the inherent racism in my liking for Asian male celebrities because their outward appearance might not fit our western concept of 'masculinity' and so we perceive Asian men as 'feminine' and talk about them accordingly.
Because I am white the way I use to talk about my faves in Asian fandoms as opposed to my former faves in western fandoms, i.e. using female connotated words and the like, is not only quite fetishising but also racist.
That means, I'll change the language I use, which is the easiest part. Changing my thoughts or my reactions should be more difficult but here we go.
