I'm not entirely sure the BTS fandom is the right one for me. Not so much for the fact that I haven't found fic I like yet but rather because I don't think I'm equipped to deal with more than one popular pairing and the in-fighting that surely comes with it. Nowadays RPS fandoms seem to be too much to handle because 'tinhatting' is the norm and everything else is 'fetishization'. And then you've got antis who think you're a sickfuck for shipping real people (or any of those other lovely things people get their knickers in a twist about today) regardless. I just recently unfollowed someone on Tumblr again for voicing such an opinion. I know it's a bit more complicated than that nowadays but I don't feel like getting into that now.

I mean, the 1D fandom is bad but at least you've only got one main pairing, so as a shipper (why do you call everything 'ship' and people 'shippers' nowadays? Back in ye olden days 'shipping' meant het!! Everyone else was a slasher!***) who doesn't have it in them to just believe shit (i.e. moi) you can either stick to the Larries or the antis and that's it. And I have decided from the start to stick to the Larries because that's what I feel most comfortable with OBVIOUSLY.

But with more than one 'ship' and rivalling 'ships' at that, I think the in-fighting is probably too ugly for me to want to have anything to do with it. I mean, I can't really stop it anymore. I'm already reading fic after all. I'm already watching way too many vids on YouTube and my head hurts from all these 'proofs' for this ship or that. And I'm already losing my mind, I am very much embarrassed to admit, over gorgeous gifsets of (a) pretty, pretty, oh so very pretty boy(s). Seriously, what did I ever do before we all went east so-to-speak? I am so very shallow but I ADORE pretty boys in even prettier makeup (and jewellery and whatnot) and I don't wanna look at anything or anyone else ever again...oof, I'm sorry...

Anyway, I can't stop it anymore but at least I'm not following anyone on Tumblr or Twitter...yet...meaning I'm not entirely in fandom...yet...

***OT: Just today I saw a post on Tumblr stating in the very first sentence that slash fanfiction...can be m/f, f/f... MY POOR FANDOM OLD HEART!!!!!!!!!!
