*sigh* I am "biracial," even though "race" does not exist and cannot be defined either phenotypically or even genetically. I think comparing one's lineage to one's sexual orientation/preference(s) is a strange jump. It makes me feel funny (neither negative nor positive). I can't define "race," but I can show you pictures of my parents... However, I can't show you pictures of my sexuality.
But really, all those quotes make me wish people would think less on the binary - and stop such hate within the LGBT community. How frustrating.

I feel your pan being from a 'mixed' family myself, but I think the commentator was just trying to use it as an example of implausibility and silly thinking

sometimes with dim people - like the kind that thinks you can determine people's sexuality and/or even gender-identity via an on-line poll - you have to take baby steps, so the people were probably trying to play to their audience
(And Tyra just gets on my Goddamn nerves.)
LOL! make SURE you put in a complaint to GLAAD, they have a lot of clout
some of the people behind the "Gay Unity" site seem truly weird, and there is (possibly was by now, we've been told there is a whole lot of deleting and cleaning going on) including some sort of gay pro-Nazi stuff . . . and here you thought THAT went out with Ernst Röhm and the Night of the Long Knives
Thanks for posting this. I wrote and plan on posting this to my personal journal, as well. It makes me so much more angry when gays and lesbians bash us than when straights do. It's like, "Guys, we're on the same side!" Ugh.
actually we use it for historical reasons and as "short hand" for the entire spectrum of people who are not 100% straight or 100% gay/lesbian ourselves
back in the day when we were started there were no words for or understanding of the continuum of both sexuality and gender-identity, so bisexual was it,
but in reality as we are always pointing out we represent the interests of the entire fluid, pansexual, bisexual, omnisexual, hetroflexible, homoflexible as well as bi-curious, bi-inclusive communities along with our gay, lesbian and "straight-but-not-narrow" allies
