So, this morning, I woke up with the worst sinus headache ever. I couldn't breathe through my nose AT ALL. I felt kind of like I was going to die. And all I could think was "Of course, I make plans to go out tonight, so naturally I get sick." But, I went to Shoppers Drug Mart, and I bought some generic version of Tylenol Cold & Sinus. And that helped. I did some running around, and then I came home and gussied up for the concert. Which concert you may ask? HundredFold, Every New Day, Accepting Silence, and Means. It was great. Although, a few random observations. Number A: I spent way too much money. I bought 4 cds, a hoodie, and a t shirt. I feel like slapping my hand and telling myself "Bad Brynne!" But I love my shirt, and my hoodie, and I enjoyed all the bands, so I should enjoy all the cds. Number B: I think that it was probably what could be considered an "emo" show. Why you may ask? Because it was amazing. People alternated between standing there, expressionless, barely bobbing their heads in time to the music, and some kind of spastic version of moshing. Janna, and anyone else that was at the Threadline concert in Neepawa, you remember what I'm talking about. Only more spastic thrashing. I feared for peoples health. Number C: There is a very fine line between boys in tight pants (hot) and boys in pants that are too tight (not hot). There were plenty of examples of both. I wish I had taken a camera.
Funny thing. Made me giggle anyway. After Accepting Silence's set, I decided that I wanted to buy their cd... so I ask for a cd, and I get a $5 bill out of my bra. I had run out of room in my pockets (bus pass, cell, keys, lip gloss -- they don't construct girls jeans with pocket capacity in mind, and I didn't want to carry a purse) and I figured my money would be safer in there. Anyways, the bassist kinda gives me this look, and says "I like where you keep your money." It was amusing. I was like "Yeah, it works."
And my eyeliner held up better than it usually does after 5 hours. I mean, usually if I go out, I'm doing a lot more than sitting there listening to music, but still. Eyeliner migrates. But mine didn't. Much.
