What's going on.
So life is good. Just updating for anyone who still reads this thing. The summer is still perfect, friends are still perfect, family is good, money is good. I'm ready for college, or at least I think I am. I am looking forward to the new experiences I will face and come out of. I look forward to everything I will learn in even the first month I am in Athens. The University of Georgia will be a great place to create a wonderful college experience, and I am very excited about attending this school.
Ryan Brooks and I went and had the coffee at Jittery Joes. It's pretty awesome that one just opened up over by the Mall of Georgia. Right down the street from Starbucks, too. Maybe Starbucks will lose some business to Joes. I hope so. The baristas at Joes didn't know anything about what they were doing, but that will get better in time. The coffee was good, and that's a big part of it.
Camp was awesome for the week that I was there. It was a great escape, and I look forward to visiting again on one of the coming weekends. Next summer I will be an Assistant Waterfront Director, so I'm very excited about that.
I'm really just taking it easy for the rest of the summer, and it feels great. I'm waking up late, normally to a phone call from a friend. It's a great thing to wake up to. I have time to ride my bike, get things done around my house, and things like that. I need to start a filing system for all the mail I'm getting from school and the bank. I've needed to start that for a long time, and I finally have the time to do it. I've also been spending a lot of time at the pool, which I haven't done in years. It feels nice to just lounge around.
My work load at school this fall is not terribly demanding, but I'm sure I'll get my fill of study-time in. I'm happy that I'm not overloading myself. I want to do very well, but I also want to have fun. I'm up for whatever happens. It will be awesome.
July 17th is date night in downtown Atlanta. The Great Eight is going to the Old Spaghetti Factory and then going to see The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly at the Fox Theatre. It's going to be so much fun. We're all dressing up in black and white, so it will be very nice. We are all going tonight to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 at midnight, so that will be awesome too. Next week, we're all going up north to swim in some waterfalls. This summer rules.
