Ohhhh man. What a week and weekend it has been. Dang it, I'm ready for next weekend already. That's a bad sign. That means I'm not soaking up all this week has to offer, which means I'm lazy and the opposite of what I should be. Slowwwww down.

Man, things have been weird lately. I've had lots of ups and lots of downs in the past week. A fair share of both. I'll tell you one thing. Girls are complicated individuals, capable of stealing any man's placement atop the highest mountain in all the world. I know because, dang it, it has happened to me. I allowed myself to invest so much hope into something so liquid. So not solid. The ice broke before I even gained my footing. I sunk in some deeeeep and cold water. And here I sit at the bottom of this reservoir of icy water. Just dwelling. Just crying and not doing much else. I'm not looking for the sun, that's for sure. But, for real, girls. I went into that with way too much confidence. Oh well. I guess it's healthy for everyone to experience rejection in the fullest form. It just sucks when it happens right after you find the ability to breathe. Right when you're in your highest high of all. Bang. The wind is knocked out of you like you never had it in the first place. Bang. You can't breathe. And there you sit at the bottom of that icy lake. Find the air, you piece of shit.

The weekend was a busy one. I worked until ten on Friday. After work, I made the drive to Athens and spent the night at the Bunker with my friends. We played hearts and did the downtown thing. It was nice. I left the next morning, got home around 12:30, took a shower, ate some lunch with Mom, and then I was out the door to Shawn's. We went to the airport to pick up our plane tickets for Spring Break. Man, I'm so hyped on this trip. Glen Canyon with Shawn. Holy mother, how exciting. After the airport, I had to work from 5-10. Sunday, I worked 10-7. Holy workoholic, I know. I was supposed to hang out with Sarah after work on Saturday, but that mother got her wisdom teeth tooked out, so that was a no go. Next weekend, for sure.

I am making a lot of money and not spending any of it. Well, I take that back. Because I wasn't spending any of it, I just bought this $185 jacket online, so I should get that in the next week or so. That's sweet. I applied for an REI Visa card, so we'll see if I get approved. If I do, I'd get a whole truck load of a dividend at REI at the end of every year. Hmmm, what else. I bought two Trails Illustrated backcountry maps of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. I'm going to give one to Shawn. Kind of a going away together gift, I guess. Yeah, dog.

I'm going to be home on Hump Day this week, so the coffee will be drunk with Dar V. for sure. This is the second week in a row where Hump Day Coffee has been able to occur. How exciting. The dicks at Dick's have been depriving me of this, so it's nice to take advantage of the uncommon.

Tonight I have to do this whole stinking lesson plan for Careers in Education. I have to teach on Wednesday. It's soon, but at least I'll have it out of the way by the time Thursday gets here. I'm glad it will be out of the way. I just need to make it happen. I took a break from making the lesson plan to write this here entry. I feel like I've needed to get a lot off my chest. I guess it's just been this whole girl situation and how much it's made me crazy in my head. UGH. I don't even know what I have to be upset about. I got what I wanted, didn't I? Maybe it wasn't what I wanted. Ah shit, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. Look at me.

This period of transition, it's crazy. Emotions are blooming like the tulips in my backyard. I'm losing friends left and right, and that sucks, or maybe it doesn't. I keep thinking about graduation and how I'm going to lose my shit sitting there waiting for my name to be called. God, I hope that doesn't happen. I'm going to lose it. I know I am. Oh well. Those things can't be planned. I just gotta roll with it.

Well, Mom's yelling for dinner. Gotta go.

Wish me luck with this whole emotion and girl thing. Blowwwww.
