Mar 29, 2008 23:01

*Kyouya headed to the music room carrying 2 library books and a single red rose from the wardrobe in his dorm room, and a few other small items in his robe pockets.*

*Kyouya opened the door wondering if Tamaki had made it there before him...*

*places the books and flower down on whatever table happens to be convenient*
I take it that's the letter of permission then?

*he pulled 2 small pouches from his robes as well placing them near the books*

Yes, Professor Paul gave it to me yesterday. *cheerfully walks over to see what Kyouya brought with him* What's all this?

*eyes zero in on the rose* Oh! A rose- the flower of passion and beauty! You got me one? *happy puppy dog eyes*

Good then, I'll consider location taken care of.

The rose is for part of the demonstration, as is everything else I've brought with me.
You are welcome to it after, though. *cool as always*

*Kyouya opened the first book... it appeared to be on divinations (An odd choice for Kyouya to be walking around with...) He turned to the section auras. Or more specifically on detecting auras.*

Ah, alright then. *places it gently down, careful not to hurt it*

Hm? Auras?

Yes... I don't suppose you've ever heard of something called a "mood ring"?

[[Kyouya is referring to it's wizard's form which is FAR more accurate than the muggles. (still a commoner's toy, Kyouya only knows of it BECAUSE it's mentioned in the book before him) Does the same thing but instead of using body heat it monitors fluctuations in the wearer's aura and takes a colour to suit.
Kyouya doesn't believe divinations in general equals out to much (personally) but came across it while reading up on other things(ie revenge on Haine) and decided this sort of parlor trick might interest Tamaki]]

'Mood ring'? You mean those commoner trinkets? Of course! *reminiscing* My father brought one from Japan once, and I had everyone in the mansion try it. It was very accurate.

Good *doesn't really care about Tamamki's reminiscing so just goes on* this works similarly, except it reads your overall aura instead of just your mood.

*Kyouya gives the spell on the page one last look before over then casting it on the rose. (He had all of the spells down well enough not to need the books, but it's better not to take chances.)*
*... then picks it up*

*the rose changes it's stage of bloom to somewhere between bud and half open... it's colour becomes a light purple (lavender, probably)*

Care to try? *Kyouya holds the rose out to Tamaki*

[[Stage of bloom = progression of personality. Kyouya is still very closed and self serving (as he would have been when he just met Tamaki in the series), so his bloom is still mostly closed
Colour = aura colour = ouran rose colour ^___^

Lol, I wonder what will happen if they both hold the flower at the same time.... XD Perhaps a sign of their future?
Or maybe it'll stop somewhere between their auras XD]]

Hm, it doesn't seem to be fully developed. *zero malice intended* But yes, thank you.

*takes the rose carefully- nearly the moment he has it in his hands, it lightens to white and bursts into full bloom* Such a beautiful rose- to be expected, I suppose. *flips hair out of his eyes, and gives a dazzling smile*

((ooc: Tamaki's already overcome his life's problems- except his 'love' issues *just read chapter 60*- so his rose is fully grown as well.

Ha ha, maybe it would be a blue rose. Certainly gaining Kyouya's genuine friendship seems to be impossible.))

Right... *ignores the "developed" comment*
Since every aura is unique the spell should respond to each member a bit differently, giving each a sort of symbol or identifying colour.

Now hold out so I can remove the enchantment and lock it in that form.

[[Sounds about right for Tama :D

But rare/impossible alone is quite vague...
Lol, or maybe yellow with blue accents... friendship that is rare/hard to come by... (inverse of course being read as unattainable friendship T_T)]]

That's so beautiful- each member with their own color! *idea!* Perhaps the cosplays could revolve around each member's color?

*looks a lil somethign liek this- begins to rant about how they could give one of their flowers to the costumers, carelessly flinging the rose about, forgetting Kyouya's order*

*vein appears on temple during Tamaki's rambling, Kyouya forces polite smile on face though the annoyance*

The spell does work on more then just roses if you really want colour based costumes and accessories.

*catches hold of Tamaki's flower waving hand, using his other to de-spell the rose while it's finally stationary*

Though I must warn you the object only retains the aura of the person it is in contact with when it is de-spelled. And it has to be de-spelled to hold any lasting change.

*releasing Tamaki and the rose, Kyouya goes onto the matter of giving out roses*
Since we will be saving on decorations and the roses can be bought in bulk, a limited number could be given out at meetings...

*Has looked at the rose since the despelling it*

Before we go any further- can it be bright red?
I know it shouldn't, but I'm so tempted!

[[OOC: Lol, sure. So long as it isn't the original (non-bright) red cause Kyouya'd think it somehow just reverted.
XD it would be really amusing!!]]

Ha ha, alright.
[/OOC]

*The rose in Kyouya's hands was red again, but not the dark, lackluster color it had been. This red was bright, vibrant, and seemed to make the rose bloom a little more* Eh? *pauses for a moment, thinking of what to say next* What do you think happened to make it like that?

((ooc: Icon = somewhat exagerated))

*Noticing the new colour of the rose, Kyouya shrugged not thinking much of it. It was all just a little divinations trick to begin with "for the use of those who cannot see aura"... whatever*

We were probably both touching it when I removed the enchantment. It likely just got confused.
If it happens to any of the official roses, costumes or decorations we can just recast the spell and start the process over.
