I'm so excited. I hope to God (seriously, to God Himself) that I can do
this. My poor little heart is now set on this, and I will be absolutely
crushed if I can't do it. Ack, I'm setting myself up for a big fall
here.....but LOOK AT THIS!!
Study Abroad in Ghana Classes are in English, and you can study (along with various academic
stuff) West African music (inc. Ghanaian Highlife music), guitar,
drumming, xylophone!!! ACK!!!!!! ACK!!!!!!
I'm hyperventilating. So before getting TOOOOO excited, I looked
at my math major requirements online. Guess what. It looks
like I can do it. I need one full sequence on 300 level math
classes, which I can do senior year because I plan on going abroad fall
semester of my junior year, coming back for 2 quarters at NU (winter
and spring). Otherwise I just need 6 more 300 level math classes,
and I'm taking two this quarter, meaning I'm FREE for that quarter I'd
be gone from here. Then I only need 44 credits to graduate from
NU's WCAS school (that's the one I'm in). I already have a lot
because I'm taking all my distro's now, and I came in with 4 AP
credits. PLUS I bet at least some of those credits of music in
Africa can be taken towards my minor. If not, I can take them
overload anyway!! WHEEEEE!! THIS IS FREAKIN AMAZING!!
I'm gonna go in and talk to an advisor on Thursday. I'm so
excited. Not being pre-med has changed everything in my life, and
I'm so much happier for it. I love it all.....no more anxiousness
for me! This is amazing!!!!!
