I forgot to add this. I HATE Kiss FM. To the point that if I ever met one of the DJs I would be highly tempted to punch him in the face. Now, the problem is that I don't listen enough to know which DJ it is that I dislike so much, so I would probably end up hitting the wrong person. So I won't do it.
But here are my list of reasons.
-The play stupid pop music, which is sometimes ok, but mostly annoying.
-Their means of advertising is by criticizing other radio stations in a very mean way. They have very few commercials which actually tell their good points.
-Their DJs (or just one, I actually don't know) are the most condescending, objectifying men ever! Here's why. They have something called the "Hot Girl Check In." Ok, way to make women everywhere feel discriminated against, without having ever been seen. I mean, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT STUPID THING??? (oh, and I wish I were more eloquent right now, to even better express the extreme degree of anger I have, but I'm just too pissed to write well). ALL YOU ARE DOING IS PERPETUATING MACHISMO AND THE OBJECTIFICATION OF WOMEN! Women have done enough to prove that we are equal to men (faults and good qualities all). It's time for men to prove that they have heard and understood the message.
I heard a girl call in one night for some reason or another, just one of those regular "call into the radio station hoping to get your voice on the radio for a few seconds." The DJ was rambling about something assuredly dumb, and suggested that the girl play naked Twister. I think he had asked her age and if she were hot as well. He then insisted that she send in pictures. You dirty old man. That's just sick. Yes, we all know you are joking, blah blah blah, but still, that was just wrong of you. You have no respect, not just for women, but for your listeners as a whole.
Today I heard the last part of a DJ telling moms to call in for the chance to win a free spa day. I thought "Oh, hey! They're actually doing something nice for once." Then the DJ added, "Oh, but you have to be a hot mom to call in!"
What is wrong with you??? I literally screamed at the radio. It was so loud in fact that the father of one of the guys in the car heard me on his end of the phone and asked who was screaming.
Ok, end rant. Feel free to comment and say that you don't want to listen to them anymore.
Oh, and what's worse is that they are everywhere. They have a station in every corner of this fricking country.
