So this is me, trying really hard to avoid getting ready for work. Need to:
-have shower
-blowdry hair (because it's effing COLD and WET wtf is up with that)
-get dressed
-probably hitchhike to work, because my aunt and uncle are out picking mom up in the boat.
It's not much, probably take me an hour. But.

Lucky it's raining, though, I didn't have to work brunch this morning. They probably don't need me tonight either, but. Yanno. They're not going to give me the entire day off. Which is pooey.

So I was unleashing my inner creeper, reading twinny RPS, when all of a sudden the computer screen went blank. I was like ... wtf did I do this time. And after much frantic calling of both parental units, it was determined that I blew some kind of fuse or something to do with power supply inside the CPU itself. I know, I know, good going, Laurel. So I now live in fear of the day the aunt and uncle get it fixed and it starts up to that webpage again. And when I said I was unleashing my inner creeper, I meant CREEPER. Like BDSM, pain, hot steamy shower sex, real people (TWINS) fic kind of creeper. And honestly, there's just some things about said creeper that relatives really don't need to know about.

And so with the dead computer, I watched War of the Worlds.

That movie just ... yeah. I actually liked it. But some of it was ...

Ok, like, Robbie, the son.
???
YOUR SISTER, YOU POOHEAD! WTF WERE YOU DOING???? You were hot until you did that. Even when you did that. But once you were offscreen I was MAD.

And Tom Cruise was some sort of containter-mover person at the harbour? I totally thought that at some point he was going to take over one of them tripod thingies, and then be able to work it because of that. But no. That's just too Hollywood.

But the scene where he had to kill that insane ex-ambulance driver was downright creepy. I liked it.

I'm sure the ending worked really well for the books, but it felt far too cop-out-y for the movie. I was unsatisfied. And Robbie just showed up there, unharmed, at the exact same time they did? Too Hollywood-happy-ending for me. Although if he hadn't shown up I woulda been mad too. Ah well, you win some, you lose some.

And if I don't go have a shower now I'll be LATE. *le gasps*

me: being creeper, me: ranting, crack: of my life, me: freakout, rl: work, wtf, movie
