So like I'm really, really pissed off. And yeah, figured that ranting here might help a bit.

First of all, I'm taking Geo12 online this summer, so that I can get it out of the way for next year (uni entrance requirements, and all that). But the Ministry of Education is making it DIFFICULT. Like you have to complete one assignment in the first week, or you're out of the course. And you have to come in one day (read: today) with picture ID and your latest report card and write a test, to prove that it is you doing the work. Which is SO dumb, because Geo is a provincially examinable course, and in provincials they CHECK YOUR ID. So who would take geo online, have someone else do the work, and then go in and do the prov themselves? REALLY.

But so the computer at my aunt's house is fucked, and restarts every 5 or so minutes. So I struggled through that, in order to finish that first assignment (14.5/15, thank you very much), and thought, well, now we can just get the computer fixed and I'm all set. NOT. Because the computer starts to restart before you can open a web browser, so I'm effectively cut off from the course. And then, in a spare moment at the library, I find out about this stupid test. And I think, ok, whatever, I've got the first bit of the course down, I'm good. Once again, NOT.  I finally get back home at about noon today (left my aunt's house at nine) (three hours of public transportation, ew) and go online to check the time/place. And I find out that 1) the test is on HALF of the ENTIRE COURSE (which I most definitely have not studied) and 2) that you need your most recent report card. I haven't even seen my most recent report card yet. My mom read it to me over the phone, and then put it somewhere special, I guess, because I searched for an hour and could not find it.

So yeah, I'm frikkin mad. And I'm NOT GOING.

I guess I'll just call later, tell the teacher "extenuating circumstances", use the old 'ferry running late, missed my busses' excuse. Arrange another time. Because just fucking ARGH.

ETA: 2:30, and I'm really regretting not going. Just ... yeah. Up until now the day had not been going well, AT ALL.

school, me: ranting, school: report card
