Vincent Thomas "Vinnie" Scoglio, 24, a two-year resident of Glen Burnie and previously of Edgewater, died suddenly Aug. 9 in his home.
Mr. Scoglio was born Dec. 13, 1983, in Cheverly to Anthony T. and Pamela J. Scoglio of Edgewater. He graduated from Southern High School in Harwood and attended Anne Arundel Community College.
He was a shift manager at Starbucks in Edgewater and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Lothian.
He enjoyed music, art, literature and poetry and was the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for a band, The Traumas. A songwriter, poet and artist, he was voted the most talented in his class in high school.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Maxwell and Robert S. Bell Jr.
Survivors include four brothers, Michael A. Scoglio of Silver Spring and Robert D., John C. and James Jay Scoglio of Edgewater; and his grandparents, R.D. Scoglio of Gainesville, Fla., and Dorothy Bell of Kettering.

what can i say about vinnie, he was an amazing frontman, who could captivate a crowd. i have to admit the prior thursday i gave him some shit calling him a hack, but all in good fun with lots of laghter. we talked about the traumas playing asshole fest part 2 electric boogaloo in january. i first met him last year when the traumas played clash tribute night, our bands have booked eachother for a few shows, and i wish i could have had more time to get to know him. but i fee hounerd for the time i did have with him. this whole thing has taken me by surprise as i did not learn of his passing till yeasterday evening. this all sucks heavy balls and thats about it. funural tomarow.
