(no subject)
today was awesome on the whole. The performances, particularily the evening one, were perfect!--- at least Pas de Quatre. Friday was a REALLY suck-ass day. The end of a REALLY long week and I was pissed at my mom because she wouldn't shut up about my China Trip, asking me a ton of enthusiastic questions when I was tired and souly concentrated on just surviving the weekend.... no one bothered to tell me that the honors book meeting was canceled, so I walked to Stadium bus stop (farther, but more buses than home), missed my bus, showed up what would have been ten minutes late, and viola! no one is there! I slept on the couches outside her UW classroom while various friends woke me up and talked to me over the next hour and a half. School on Fridays are also pretty much a waste of time... ick. so I was pissy at dress rehearsal, which naturally was heard by at least three or four of the upper teachers/dancers. i got a few "don't be a bitch" talks.....
but today, it was perfect. In pas de quatre, I danced the part of the dancer who had the affair with the choreographer, so I had to "flirt" with the audience.... ha. ha. Taylor, Alisha, and I were talking about flirting when I got the correction to "flirt" with the audience. Miss Melissa came in and was laughing at us, because she thought it was hilarious that we were talking about flirting with the audience and not boys, as any other group of sixteen-year girls would be.
so John and Sarah went to the evening show and Storvick, Tommi, John, Lena, and I all went to see 300 ( <3 violence) afterward. goodness. but Sarah ditched us... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
