This is MY take on it: Protesting can totally get things accomplished..BUT, this time it just wasn't the case.
Most of the people who protested are idiots. I say most..not all. The majority wouldn't even be able to REALLY tell you what they were out there for, they would just go ughh...imma-gration ( i did it like that on purpose)
Then there are other people who REALLY want to do something about this and are acually educated on the subject. So in my opinion Yes, do it! Just not in the school hours.
The thing is, i really don't believe the majority of the "walk-out crowd" were the latter type of individuals. The majority of the crowd was just a bunch of kids looking for a way to get out of school and act dumb (for the most part)
For the people who really want to do something about this:
Listen, It's great that you stood up for something you believe in and tried to do something about it. I just wouldn't reccomend interfering with class time. That aspect is rather sensless and yes--pointless.
Here is the test, if you really want to do something about it, then try getting together this weekend. THEN you will see who all the people who REALLY back you up are.
Organization is the key word here. I think I said all I needed. (for now)
Sincerely, Me
p.s. I heard Eastwood did thiers at lunch time (hahahahahahaha)..thats priceless.
kid #1: You gonna do that walkout buey? kid #2: Esure, why not esse, everybody else ees doin' it. (silence) kid #3: Orale holmes, that settles it. We'll ditch lunch today.
yeah, I Was going to go, since I didn't have school or anything; but with all of this protest stuff, I thought it would be better if I didn't show up at Eastwood.
well first of all we were supposed to go on sat. from 9-12 and we did. but we didnt actually start typing til like 11. so like everyone stayed til like almost two. and so today we were gonna type but only one of the computers was working.and so yeah. we only have like a week now. and ugh things are just starting to pile up. the art work hasnt even been looked at very well and its not a lot of artwork so yeah. we're all like stressing except these two ppl. and josh is like taking over jackies job and wont tell her some junk and yeah. mr. stovall is like all mad again from stressing and he told jackie he'd do something and apparently he didnt...so yeah. we're like trying to do so many things at once and we still have to do the senior programs supposedly.
