I'm delighted you found this piece and commented. It was just something I typed up last summer as a nice change of pace.

I liked Tory back in the day, because she was a nice contrast to Billy - more aggressive and matter of fact, but still totally loyal to Laura. And I always got the feeling that Laura liked her, even was girlfriendy with her around New Caprica, but never attached to her like she did Billy. Like she was holding something back. That always intrigued me. And I felt really bad for Tory when Laura just absolutely cut her off at the knees about Baltar. I mean that was cold (even though Tory was already turning evil). Laura just stopped caring about her, like a switch flipped or something. That intrigued me even more. I wish they would have explored that as an aspect of Tory's turn to Cylon evilness - I mean girl only had one person who kinda loved her and then bam Mom turns her back on her.

And I don't think I've seen the deleted scene you reference. Is it in the 4.0 discs? If it explores Tory's feelings about Laura then I'm sure I'll love it when I get to see it.
