Everything Lars just said above. There's something weirdly incestuous about many of the BSG relationships. Like 1 degree of separation and sometimes that doesn't even feel like enough. I'm also not a fan of this pairing, but I'll generally sample anything you've put out there, and I can't say that I've ever been disappointed. A good writer can usually get me to believe in any situation.
I liked how you illustrated Bill's pushing Laura away in this story. We saw him do it with words in the ring and here we get to see him do it physically. I think a door closing in your face is pretty definitive. Also, it effectively sets up her level of hurt and rejection and we know poor Sam is experiencing the same treatment from Kara, the honorary Adama (loved that so much, btw). Also, Laura and Sam will always have New Caprica, won't they? It's an unspoken bond that nobody who wasn't on that hellish mudball could possibly understand.
Bill's combination of self-flagellation/pleasure at the end was great. Those two concepts are so inexorably tied in his head. I don't blame Laura for being fed up with his strange sense of honor/sacrifice and seeking comfort elsewhere. Season 3 Bill is fairly infuriating, although you leave us with a sense of hope here: he told himself that someday the right thing would be something more than this.

Thanks TJ! The Adamas are a difficult bunch. Even on a good day, and Season 3 was a particularly difficult time with Bill. He didn't seem to know what he wanted. No wonder Laura was frustrated.
