Think of your friends.
How many of them really know you?
The real you.
The you that hardly anyone sees.
The you that sings so loud while driving in the car.
The you that is bitchy.
The you that is kind.
The you that is really...just...you.
I've come to realize that few people will ever truly know who you are. I wonder if society's to blame or perhaps it is our human nature to want to be something that everyone else wishes you to be. Must we conform because we, deep down, are afraid of who we really are? Or are we afraid that no one will love us for who we are and we don't want one person to know everything about us? Or are we still waiting for that one person in which to "reveal" ourselves to? After all is said and done I'd like to think that none of the above is true, but it is. We all fear being ourselves at one time or another.
I just wonder, how many of your friends know the real you?
