So, tonight was... possibly the best night I've had in sooo long.
I had studio cab, tonight. Our group's performance was way above par, and nothing but good things were said afterwards. There was a lotta hugging, too. Heh. I'd have loved to savour that moment... being on stage tonight really gave me the taste... and I love it. There's definitely some thanks in order...
Firstly, Kayla deserves many judos to the outstanding script. Without her script, it'd have been nothing more than... well, nothing. She deserves only the best.
Shawn... Sean... I'm not sure which one it is, but I'm gonna be calling him Alan for a while now. His performance tonight was outstanding. It really showed how much potential he has, when given the oppurtunity to shine.
Chelsea... amazing. I'm in awe of her abilities. She was so calm, and cool. I can say that I was nervous, at first, but once it got going... it was hard to stop.
Tenika... she really got some great laughs, and did a good job at getting the character out. :)
And, again, to Kayla, for the brilliant acting performance. When her and I had the stage, she really made a great impression, both on the audience, and me. She really made it clear just how talented she is, and spending the last couple weeks, bouncing ideas, and just rehearsing, it's definitely been time well spent.
And, lastly, to myself. I really showed myself, tonight. I was praying that what happened in previous years wouldn't happen this year, and I'm very proud it didn't. I hope Half says the same thing, when I ask for a moment of his time, tomorrow.
One last thanks should actually go out to everyone else. You guys, for reading, the other groups, and viewers that wished us luck, and said the nice things afterwards. I definitely owe it to them for making me better, and giving me the confidence. I must say, though... the other groups I saw, not just the grade 12 plays, but the others, too. They all did an outstanding job. The Loyalties is a great play, and the performance of it this year was definitely amazing. But I'd like to single out Ignorance is Bliss, written by Canadian Idol star, Andrew Broderick. His script was incredible, and very humourous. I'm definitely proud of his individual performance, as well as the oversall company. But him... alone... was the single best performance I've seen in a long time. Cheers, man, and you deserve the fame. :)
Well, that's it for tonight. I'm gonna go to bed after I listen to a couple songs. Night, everyone.
