Sorries!
Been too busy enjoying the sights of Kyoto and the surrounding cities to write much! >_<
Being here has confirmed a couple of things for me:

- Kyoto is an awesome, awesome city! I love the mix of old (Kiyomizu Dera, Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji and the like) with the new (Teramachi, the shopping areas)

- I love that Kyoto is central to everything! It's near Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Himeji, etc.

- Himeji castle was worth the trip out! The castle was 6 stories high while most castles I've been to has only been about 4 stories high. It's beautiful; still in it's original structure and is so well preserved/renovated!

- Nara is worth going for the deer!! <3 Although I have to admit, the monkeys in Jigokudani in Nagano were infinitely cuter! It was soooo cool to see them all lounging in the open onsen XD

- Kobe beef is still #1! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO goooooooooooood!!! >_< Pity that the shopping was lacking and the place a little bland; but it was still a nice enough place to wander through :)

- Osaka in my mind, still seems like the second cousin to Tokyo, which is far more superior. I have to admit though, even Osaka was more relaxed than Tokyo, it annoyed me that more people were walking around with cigarettes in hand than Tokyo (where they tended to stand around and smoke).

- Inuyama castle was worth a look, but don't bother going towards Momotaro park. It was a really waste of time (took me about an hour to walk 2.2km there >_<) to see a whole lot of gaudy statues - never again!!!! >______<

Another night here in Kyoto and it'll be the final leg of our journey; which will conclude in Tokyo!
Yay for plenty of shopping! I'm fully planning on buying another bag so that I can comfortably carry a lot of crap home :) Oh - and even though the clothes are tremendously cute, I'm kinda annoyed that a lot of them don't contain natural fibres (like wool and cotton) =( Ah wells............. I'll just have to pack my bags full of soft toys and food then, won't I? XD
