Maybe I should consider product design instead of book cover design...

you can bet I wouldn't take a $400 device into the kitchen over a bubbling pot of marinara or into the tub.
I probably would, because I'm an idiot. I already put page curl on my $25 Arthelius Heroes magazine. Sheesh... I can't have nice things...

I would love to be into the concept of the eBook... especially for those giant tomes like the recent Neil Stephenson trilogies, and China Mieville's books, and Jonathan Norell & Mr. Strange, all books that I've started and set down because they are too heavy for me to want to carry them in a backpack already crammed with spare sweaters, an umbrella, groceries, and two days' worth of dirty lunch Tupperware. (and when I'm at home, I tend to be writing, not reading.) For that, it'd be ace convenient. But nothing can get between me and good book design, especially since that's my job - we put so much work into the aesthetics of the reading, touching, and collecting experience, and I'd hate for that to fall by the wayside.

I'm curious to see whether or not it takes off this time - haven't they tried this five or six times already?
