Shoot 'Em Up
I just watched this movie with James, literally minutes ago and I had to post. I haven't heard many of my friends talk about this movie, so I assume that either they haven't seen it or have mentally blocked it from their memories cause it is SO FUCKING AWFUL! I mean, it was the most preposterous, pretentious piece of crap I've seen in quite some time. The "plot" was a ridiculous mess, hard to folow, and illogical. The action, of which there was plenty, was immensely over the top, so much so that it past the absurd boundary, past the camp boundary, and landed in the pile where you just hold your head in your hands and cry wishing you had the power to turn it off. The movie was gimmicky and outlandish. Some of the more ludicrous scenes: during a gun fight, the hero is delivering a baby, while shooting people, and then to finalize the procedure he shoots off the umbilical cord. There is another shoot out which interupts the obligatory senseless sex scene, and instead of stopping, they continue to have sex while killing bad guys. There was a mid-air parachuting gun fight, in which physics was forever broken. Clive owen has a fascination with carrots and uses them in retarded ways to kill people. I honestly can't believe I actually watched THAT movie. What a total pile of shit.
