So I just sent an email, requesting to set up a consultation at a plastic surgery hospital for a nose job.
I don't want to hear "you look good don't change your looks," that sort of thing. While it is nice to hear, lol, it's not totally about how I look as to why I want to do this.
I have a deviated septum and sleep apnea. When I was four, my dad thought it would be a good idea to teach me how to shoot a gun (don't ask) and the safety kicked back and hit me in the nose, which broke. Since it was a small break, no blood or anything, he decided to just put ice on it and forget about teaching me how to shoot. Which..you know....great idea, since my nose healed pretty badly, as I said, resulting in a deviated septum, a small bump, and uneven cartilege in the tip.
It wasn't really noticeable until I started getting older, but that's because as you grow, things shift. The cartilege in my nose has grown and shifted, making it a nuisance for me to look at (I don't care if you say it's fine!!) and an even bigger problem when I wake up at night unable to breathe. It's the scariest thing in the world, and you can't understand it unless you've gone through it. I wake up, so deprived of oxygen that I can't shift my body to get air to come in, I just have to lay there until I either pass out (and my body realizes "oh yea I have to breathe don't I") or I can finally manage to twitch myself into a different position and resume breathing.
Now I had the parathyroid surgery and although it's a pain to keep taking calcium, I have already lost more than 5 pounds JUST from the relief of the freak parathyroid being gone. This is a totally different procedure obviously. I might even have to have my nose BROKEN to fix the deviated septum. I'm hoping not, since the bump isn't big, but this is something I'll learn at the consultation.
When it's healed and everything, the end result should be similar to Salma Hayek PRE nose job...meaning the nose she was born with. I don't want to do an Ashlee Simpson thing here. I just want the nose back that I was born with.
Yea that's a bad pic of her, but it's the only one I can find of her before she had a nose job. IMHO she should have kept her natural one..
If you've ever met my mom, it'll be the same as hers.
SO! Thoughts?
